Liturgical Ministry
Hospitality
Help greet our parishioners and visitors with a bulletin as they come to Mass. Be a voice of our community, to answer any questions our parishioners or visitors may have about services and resources the Parish offers.
Altar Servers
We are looking for Altar Servers of any age - young or young at heart! Our Altar Servers are trained to assist our Priests at the Altar during Masses. If you are retired or available during the day, you may be asked to serve at funerals and weddings.
Lectors (Readers)
Our Lectors (Readers) are trained to help proclaim the Gospel during our weekday and Sunday Masses. A guide book is provided for you and training is available if needed. We are especially in need of Lectors for our early morning Masses (7:50 AM).
Communion Ministers
Communion Ministers are trained to help distribute the Holy Body (Eucharist) and Blood (Wine) during Masses.
Liturgical Environment
Our Liturgical enviroment helps reflect the feasts and celebrations we hold during the year. Your creative gifts are needed, especially during the Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter seasons.
Music Ministry
Each of our Sunday Masses is lead by a different sounding group of musicians, offering our Parishioners something unique. We are always in need of fresh voices and musicians to keep this ministry going strong.
Sacristan/Sound System
If you feel you are technologically inclined or would learn how to become so, this is a great ministry to be a part of! Your duties will be to ensure that our Priests, Lectors and Musicians can be heard during our Masses, by operating our sound system/sound board.

The Catholic Women's League of Canada is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God. Couples/Singles for Christ
CFC Singles for Christ (SFC) is one of the family ministries of Couples for Christ (CFC). It was founded to cater to the needs of single men and women from 21 to 40 years of age. “Single” refers to anyone within that age group who is free from any legal impediments to marriage. The pastoral care offered by the ministry, though, is not limited to those who are called for marriage, but includes as well those who may be considering either single blessedness or religious vocation as a state of life.
This group meets every first Saturday of the month in the Church, beginning with a 9:00 AM Rosary and 10:00 AM Mass time. All are invited to join. To learn more, please visit their website: www.sfcwinnipeg.spaces.live.com/
Development & Peace
This committee organizes the two annual Development and Peace awareness campaign, linking our parish with the needs of developing countries. For more information about the Catholic Organization for Development & Peace, please visit: www.devp.org.
Food Bank, Soup Kitchen & Clothing Depot
The Food Bank welcomes persons on Wednesday mornings from 8:30 – 11:00. Persons are served soup, sandwiches, tea, coffee and juice while waiting to receive their foodstuffs from Winnipeg Harvest. Volunteers set up tables, help to prepare food being served and to sort and hand out food items.
Honduras Mission Circle
Members of this group pray and support missionary work in Haîti (Fr. Denis Bernardin) and Zambia (Sr. M Mide, medical clinic). An annual fund raiser is held in October. Members meet monthly (flexible time) except for July and August. The zest for life and concern for the poorest among us energizes its members!

Pastoral Ministry
Ministry to the Sick/Shut-Ins
Communion to the sick, hospital and home visits are at the heart of this ministry. Communion to the sick is one of the earliest ministries developed within the Church so as to maintain the bonds of communion amongst all of its members. A workshop is provided for interested persons.
Infant Baptism Team
This is a shared ministry, where team members meet with parents and godparents to help them better understand the meaning of and the rite of Baptism. The team member is present for the celebration of baptism.
Pastoral (Parish) Council
Members from our Council, along with our Pastor, collectively make decisions on the practical and spiritual direction of our Parish, along the guidelines of our Bishop and of the Holy See. This council represents different members of our respected Parish Ministries and groups.
